Shot on location on an historic homestead in Harrison, Montana, The Territory's Best is a short western film about an outlaw searching for the legendary fastest gun in Montana Territory.
I wrote this script with helpful input from the Montana State University Screenwriting club. I pitched this concept and script to instructors at MSU to be made as a senior film, and went on to direct the production. We shot on location in the February, the coldest month of the year in Montana, and boy was it windy.
Upon receiving a prompt for the script, the entire film was written, produced, shot, editing, and colored in under 24 hours. Following an intense but brief writing session, the production team scrambled to get everything needed to turn the script into hard results. Despite time constraints (and lack of sleep), we were able to pull everything together into a dark comedy.
I worked on several short videos for MontanaPBS--here are a couple of them!
Working as part of MontanaPBS's television crew for MSU Athletics, I created, modified, and used graphics in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and Ross XPression for display on the stadium/fieldhouse video boards as well as for streaming on Pluto TV.
My first attempt at producing a short film. Unfortunately, this one is not available online.
